Tomorrow's Momversation is all about the things you absolutely will not give up in a recession (they'll have to pry my lipstick from my cold, dead hands!).  But you can cut back on some stuff and still have lots of fun.

1.  Use the library.  Read magazines and books; rent movies and CDs; and take advantage of classes and programs that your library might have to offer.

2.  Give yourself a pedicure.  Toss your nail salon's number; they're too expensive!  Instead, follow Marie Claire's tips on how to achieve tip-top toes.

3.  Have a game night.  Invite your friends over, buy a bottle of Two-Buck Chuck (or Four-Buck Chuck, depending on where you live), and play board or card games to your heart's content.  Have a guest bring some good cheese.

4.  Get in touch with nature.  Spring is here, and summer's around the corner.  Now's a good time to strap on your hiking boots and take a hike.  Or ride your bike.  Or just saunter around the neighborhood.  You'll get some heart-healthy exercise, and (bonus!) it doesn't cost a cent!

5.  Find free community events and attractions.  Use the internet to find free events and attractions.  Just plug in a search term such as "Free things to do [your hometown]" into Google, and check out what's to do in the neighborhood.  You might be pleasantly surprised.
