The monumental divorce of Kate and Jon Gosselin surely has to be one of the nastiest in recent history.  Or has it?  Turns out there have been some pretty outrageous Hollywood divorces over the years.  Here are 6 of the craziest:

6.  Jon and Kate Gosselin

Why It's Outrageous

The couple's entire life revolved around their marriage and family due to the success of their reality show, "Jon & Kate + 8."  They announced their separation on the show and have been all over tabloid covers.  Since then, Kate has played a martyr in the media while Jon parties with Michael Lohan (another Father of the Year candidate).

Craziest Moment

Jon goes on national television and states that he "despises" Kate and that he loves his new girlfriend, 21-year-old Hailey Glassman, more than he ever loved his wife.  (That'll make a great home movie for the kids to watch later on.)

5.  Eminem and Kim Mathers

Why It's Outrageous

The off-and-on relationship included run ins with the police, drug problems, and mutual jabs in the media, including several Eminem songs ("Kim," "'97 Bonnie & Clyde) in which Eminem acts out the murder and disposal of his wife.  These two liked divorce so much they did it twice.

Craziest Moment

Eminem threatens Kim Mathers and a gentleman with a gun outside a bar, culminating in his pistol-whipping the man (Kim was allegedly kissing the man).

4.  Paul McCartney and Heather Mills

Why It's Outrageous

In the divorce petition, Heather Mills accuses the former Beatle of abuse, including stabbing her, choking her, and pushing her while she was pregnant.  They eventually settled with Mills receiving over $30 million plus $70,000 a year in child support.

Craziest Moment

Heather Mills allegedly used her false leg to beat a woman after she tried to snap Mills's pic in a cafe, with Mills shouting "I do not need this right now. I am getting death threats, going through a divorce, and bringing up a baby."

3.  Terry McMillan and Jonathan Plummer

Why It's Outrageous

Terry McMillan based her novel, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, on her relationship with Plummer.  Unfortunately, unlike the book, Plummer turned out to be a homosexual, indulging in several affairs with men during the course of their relationship.

Craziest Moment

McMillan sues Plummer for $40 million in 2007 for "humiliation" during their divorce.  One thing he did?  He revealed that McMillan called him a homosexual slur.

2.  Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger

Why It's Outrageous

The custody battle between Baldwin and Basinger was vicious, with insults hurled in the media (Basinger called a nutcase; Baldwin called a "loose cannon").  It got so bad, Baldwin claimed he "wanted to die."

Craziest Moment

A recording of Alec Baldwin is released in which he calls his daughter a "rude, thoughtless little pig."

1.  Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards

Why It's Outrageous

Richards went to the mat with this one, accusing Sheen of being addicted to gambling, underage internet porn, and prostitutes (big shocker). She also accused him of trying to force her to have an abortion, violent mood swings, and paranoia.  He claimed that the accusations were false and that she was trying to sabotage his kids' clothing line.  Yes, Charlie Sheen has a kids' clothing line.  Color us confused.

Craziest Moment

What wasn't crazy?  If we have to choose, we'll go with Richards hooking up with her best friend Heather Locklear's husband, Richie Sambora.
