Christmas time is here! Or almost. And to get in the spirit, we're giving you our Christmas Entertainment Must List: songs, television shows, and movies that is a must if you want to get jolly.
Today's list is our favorite holiday songs. Sure, it leans a little heavily on the rock and roll side, but we're pretty wild over here on Momversation (wink).
10. Feliz Navidad by José Feliciano
Jump right into the holiday festivities with the number one sing-a-long Christmas song on the list.
9. Please Come Home for Christmas by The Eagles
We all are missing someone during the holiday season. So sing your heart out to The Eagles and alleviate your blues.
8. Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee
The consummate '50s swinging sound, Rockin' is a toe-tapping treat from the country-rockabilly-pop princess.
7. Happy Xmas (War Is Over) by John Lennon
"So this is Christmas..." starts the melancholy but ultmately uplifting holiday plea from our favorite Beatle (sorry Ringo). It reminds us all of the importance of loving thy neighbor.
6. Have a Holly Jolly Christmas by Burl Ives
This song is full of the pure joy of the holiday season. We dare you not to smile when listening.
5. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer by Gene Autry
The amiable voice of Gene Autry takes us through the (triumphant) tale of the little reindeer who guided Santa's sleigh one foggy night. A childhood staple.
4. Santa Claus Is Coming to Town by Bruce Springsteen
Has Santa Claus sounded sexier? We think not.
3. The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole
Nat King Cole's makes you feel all warm and gooey as he describes the quintessential Christmas scene.
2. Jingle Bell Rock - Bobby Helms
Snap your fingers to one of the first Christmas rock classics. The first and still one of the best. Good job, Mr. Helms.
1. White Christmas by Bing Crosby
Is there a more Christmas-y sound than the soothing bass of Bing Crosby's White Christmas? If there is, then we'd end up with holly coming out of our rears. Pop this classic on, mull some wine, and watch the snow flutter against the windows. And have a great holiday.
Stayed tuned for the best holiday TV specials!
