On MomLogic, they interview former Bachelorette Trista Sutter who has undergone the Essure procedure.  What's Essure?  It's a permanentbirth control that is non-invasive and requires only an outpatient visit.  During the procedure, a micro-insert is placed into the fallopian tubes via the cervix, and a natural barrier eventually forms, blocking sperm.  But is it painful?

"Just like menstrual cramps," dishes Sutter. "But it's so worth it. I just wanted to focus my attention on the two kids I'm blessed to have and this way, I don't have to worry if I miss a pill. I mean, hello mommy brain! I really care about women's health and wanted to get the word out. I feel like the more women that know about it, they'll make this option their choice because it's so easy compared to the others."

Would you consider a procedure like Essure?  What birth control do you use?

I had the Essure procedure 2 years ago. Easy peasy. And the HSG follow-up 3 months later was also fine. No worse than a pap smear. Essure was a great choice for us. My husband was willing to have a vasectomy but if neither of us needed to be cut open, I was willing to take one for the team.
