Does your child know what to do in the event of a fire?  Probably not, if this recent survey is correct.  Over 50% of children surveyed would stay inside a burning building instead of exiting immediately.  However, most parents surveyed said that they have spoken to their children about fire safety.  So, somehow the message is not getting across.


The main message parents and kids should take away from the survey is a simple one... "Your first job is to get out of the house."
