It was weeks of parties, presents, good food, and good company.  But now all you're left with is a head cold and some stray tinsel.  It's the post-holiday blahs, and moms 'round the Web are talking about them.

Kimmelin Hull likens the post-holiday letdown to the post-partum blues she wrote about in her book, A Dozen Invisible Pieces. To combat the blahs, she provides tips that inspire creativity, togetherness, and gratitude:

"In recognition of the thoughtfulness bestowed upon us by family and friends this holiday season, we will make home-made thank you cards and, if organized and energized enough, include photos of the kids using the gift given by each loved one."

Over at The Daily Bitch, Monty has turned her depressed state into a reflective one:

I'm sorry that I haven't asked and probed and gotten all up in your bizness.

What's weird is that I've never felt like it was my place to do that to YOU, but I've never minded someone doing it to ME.

But I will step outside my comfort zone and be nosier, because I want you to know that I care and that YOU MATTER TO ME.

And Myra at We Make Three can't believe the holidays are over, but she's ready to get down to business:

I’m sad to see it end, but I’m ready for structure again. I am actually ready to go to work. I feel glutonous from having all this free time. What are you doing to combat the after-holiday blues?  Discuss in our forums.
