A couple in Great Britain got a little bit more than a thank you on their restaurant dinner receipt.  Instead of a message saying, "Thanks for dining with us!" the receipt stated, "Thankyoulittellf****r, apparently directed at their slightly cranky two-year-old daughter.  While the waiter doesn't get points for spelling, she does get big points for cajones.

From the Daily Mail:

"...the family had already been frustrated by slow service and poor food, which caused hungry two-year-old Molly to complain. The couple believe her mild protests triggered the shocking comment - despite being seated in the advertised 'kids' zone'."

Have you had problems when eating out?  How have you handled them?  And with the Walmart "slap incident," do you think more people are striking out at toddlers in public?

I read this article on a different site, which made no mention about the kid's zone or the fact that the service was slow. I'm not sure if that would have made a lick of a difference in the comments, though. It seemed that the vast majority of the commenters were child free by choice and thought the waiter needed to be re-hired and given a raise. "People with kids should order in and stay home" they said. I just thought it was bizarre that nearly every comment agreed with the waiter's actions. Even pre-parenthood I don't ever remember having an issue with kids in restaurants as long as they weren't running around or screaming so loud that I couldn't have a decent dinner conversation.

BAH! HA Ha ha! Personally, I think this is HILARIOUS. I mean, mortifying, obviously, but pretty darn funny. If this happened to me, I think I would struggle between laughing and being completely satisfied that they had clearly been more negatively affected than us to go ahead and write such a thing, and bitch-slapping him/her. Okay, so normally I'm a very upstanding citizen... However this one time a shop assistant was SO RUDE to my son when we were in her store. She was one of those INCREDIBLY IRRITATING, perfectly groomed older ladies who think it's okay to tell off anybody's kids. Like because she's an old bitch, she just has right of way to do so. He wasn't even being particularly naughty, just being 2 years old and a boy. Anyway, so after we had done our shopping there, I treated Man Cub to a chocolate icecream. As we were walking back past the store, the old bitch was closing up. Man Cub was too young to realise the lady despised him, so he was waving to her and laughing and being completely adorable - to which she MADE A NASTY FACE and walked away! Hmph. Well. When she shut her glass doors, I said to Man Cub, "Honey, go up and give her a big kiss through the window" Chocolate icecream all over her window. How do you like that, Cranky Old Biddy?! HA.

OMG I have had people give me a sideways glance now and again, but this takes the cake. And they were seated in the "kids' zone" no less! I think the waitress has a personal problem to work out.
