We asked our Twitter followers how they would react if their son or daughter came out as gay.  Here were some of the responses:

  • emjb:  Heck yeah. I'd help him coordinate his tux with his prom date's.

  • Shash:  I would love him no matter what & support him.

  • erinshawstreet:  Support him for who he is, just like my parents did for my brother.

  • amazonqueenkate:  Love them unconditionally. I'm sorry, was there another answer?

  • SomethingGirl:  If my child came out as gay, I'd let him or her guide their own path with it, providing my own thoughts on matter but supporting them in all their choices, knowing that it's not my life or my pain.

  • batteredhaggis: Individuality and inclusion should be encouraged, whether that's being gay, being bisexual or being transgender.
