Last week the holidays tossed my schedule out the door and slammed it in his face as he tried to come crawling back. I know, it seemed a little extreme to me too. With Dad-oo home for the week, visiting family and other craziness going on, there was no way to do the normal Momma and Eli activities. It was then that I realized that I miss my schedule.

I think that most days a consistent schedule is actually better for me than it is for the kiddo. I know what actives are lined up for the day. What errands need to be run or tasks accomplished. Usually I have too many things on my list and not nearly enough time. In fact, some days I’m overwhelmed by how much I didn’t get done. But at least we are busy. Most weeks the days blend from one to the next, to point where I can’t even remember what day it is. Seriously. It’s pathetic.

So when my schedule was so rudely interrupted by Christmas, I was anxious and looking forward to getting back to normal. I missed the playgroups (gasp!). I missed the lazy mornings with the kiddo. I actually missed getting up at the crack of dawn for my early morning workouts (that time to myself is priceless). I thought I would be relieved to get back into the swing of things.

Now that we’re back to our normally scheduled programming, I’m bored. B.O.R.E.D. Each day seems the same, Tuesday draaaaaged by. It’s freezing outside so I don’t even want to leave the house. Or get out of bed. Or shower. I guess I’ve officially settled into the repetitive life as a SAHM. Bored, home bound and too lazy to shower. :-) Please oh please someone tell me that Spring is just around the corner.

Oh, and in case you missed it, here’s my New Years Resolution. And before you ask, yes I am insane.
