Hot Topics: Save Handmade

We all want to make sure that the toys our kids play with are safe. And after last year's recall of toxic Chinese-made toys, it's more important than ever.  So, it was good to see Congress try to solve this problem by passing the Consumer Products Safety Improvement Act.  Unfortunately, though, some people say the bill goes too far.

The act, which calls for more stringent testing and safety guidelines, could put a number of small businesses, well, out of business.  Cool Mom Picks has started a campaign to "Save Handmade," that is, the mom-and-pop shops that create and sell handmade children's products.
