Ciaran Blumenfeld discusses a mother's ultimate dilemma.
The statistics of sexual abuse against children in this country are staggering. It's happening everyday and that will never change unless kids can report it to their parents, teachers or authorities so that immediate action can be taken. But many of them are too afraid or ashamed to tell anyone. It's an uncomfortable topic to discuss, but if we as parents don't have an open dialogue with our kids about sexual abuse, how can we expect them to feel comfortable telling us if it happens?
