Here’s are my New Year’s resolutions (not in any special order).
1) To reconnect with my spiritual side.
2) To find the time to paint or draw – or play with more creative photography. To paint more with my boys and teach them more art, I want to do that again.
3) To connect with more parents and grow this blog and my new site (be sure to visit and sign up!!) RAISING BOYS WORLD so together we can work to raise respectful, responsible men for our future.
4)) I NEED to put an end for good to that extra 40 lbs (10 lbs for each baby) I’ve been carrying on me – for good! This is the year I will run a full marathon (well, this is a maybe - I'll at least run a few more half-marathons...but I can aim for a full)
5) To save money.
6)To find a pair of jeans that fit and make me feel like I look hot.
7) To speak Spanish fluently (currently I can speak Spanish like I’m about 4 years old, maybe younger)
8) To be more patient.
9) Make more time for my husband.
10) To find more peace within my being and my surroundings. To live for the moment and worry less about the past or the future – to embrace life.

My son is starting 6th grade which is middle school. I want to make his transition as easy as possible by helping him to keep organized and helping him with homework and school activities.
Outside of that one of my goals is to clear out and organize the many closets, cabinets and drawers throughout my home. We have so many things that have accumulated over the years that we don't use. Many of the things are in good to new condition and I will donate them.

I am going to force myself to take time out of my crazy work schedule to be fully present for my daughter's preschool days. Well, when I'm in town that is. But when I'm not on a plane I'm determined to drag my tired ass to preschool orientation, her first day back to school and any other event that's important to her.

Thankfully Moanna is not headed off to school for a few more years, and we may actually home school her. However, working at a college means that I "go back to school." So, I do have hopes and dreams to make it through this year with less chaos than last year.
1. I won't give it ALL to work so that have something left over to give my family and home
2. I will take advantage of plays and other perks that come with working at a college
3. I will attempt to do little bits of house work most days so that it doesn't pile up
I could go on... but the idea is to stay balanced as the school year progresses
