My husband gets to be the fun parent
My husband spends lots of time with our kids but he leaves all the boring parenting jobs for me - what the kids will eat, what they will wear, dressing them etc. Whenever I encourage him to do more he ends up barraging me with questions so it's easier to just do it myself. What can I do to get him more decisive about this stuff?

Brandywine, is there a way for you to gently decline to help him with the answers? Maybe he's afraid of how you'll respond to his decisions or maybe he's just never thought about things like feeding or dressing the kids. How about making one day a week "Dad's day" and taking the day off? I would do that on the weekends when our children were little. Great results!

I remember having to leave the house and letting my husband do everything. I had to learn that he would never do things exactly like I did and that was okay. Maybe try going shopping for a couple of hours and asking him to take care of the kids.
Good Luck

My husband does that! "What should I put on them to wear?" Um, try CLOTHES! I finally blew up at him about it one day. He said that he was afraid that he would do it wrong and I would get angry about it. So, I admitted I am a bit of a control freak, but that I would prefer him do it AT ALL and possibly do it wrong, than to make me do everything and make all the decisions myself. I explained how making every single little decision myslef was very stress inducing. So now, he just puts on whichever shirt or pant is the top one in the drawer and if they don't match, i just suck it up and look the other way.
