Teaching kids good money habits

When did you start teaching your kids about money? What habits is it important for them to have, and what are some ways you incorporate lessons about money for kids in your daily life?

We believe in the abundance philosophy, and so my sons have been especially encouraged to enjoy playing with money as if it were a toy during their post-coin swallowing years. This has grown them comfortable with having money around them (lest they have some issues), and encouraged them to look around for themselves and see how money is used in our society.
Also, we share our values openly with them with regards to money. Don't get into debt, find a good value, be willing to wait for the right deal...you know, the basics.
