As Jessica Gottlieb said, "if you're really lucky, one time in your life, you're going to have a teacher that changes the way you learn...." And it is so very true. Without my first grade teacher Mrs. Blonde, who held my hand and walked me to my seat every single day of school, I'm pretty sure that at the age of 34, I would still be afflicted with terrible separation anxiety every time I had to say goodbye to my mom.

Back to school isn't just about making sure your child is equipped with the best gear or lunchbox, it's about making sure they're connecting with their teachers... after all, they are the ones truly responsible for shaping the way our children think.

Hi Becca, How can you keep getting more BEAUTIFUL? I am so touched by your praise. So many memories... your crowning as Homecoming Queen, your amazing ability to reach the essence of an issue in your writing, your class discussion insights, and the day you and Jamie taught when I didn't feel well are just a few...and so much love and admiration for you have created a smile that just won't go away. Your book sits in a prominent place in my home, reminding me of the power of encouragement ( I'm not sure I actually "taught" you anything at all. I had a great teacher in Catholic school in Sister Bernadette. She was so quiet, yet a strong teacher. She taught it all and I learned easily from her. To this day, I love math, English, history, etc, etc...and I have her to thank!

My kindergarten teacher, Ms. Lindell was my fave :D She taught me all about how kind and good a person could be, she loved each and every one of us!

i had a math teacher in junior high named mr french..he was so great he always took the time to explain something if you didnt understand it and never tried to make you feel stupid..he gave me the confidence to take my time and not give up and never be afraid to ask for help :)
