Kids have their entire childhood to play a sport or an instrument...who says they have to start at three years old to be successful at it? Actually, many moms say so! If you've ever watched Dance Moms or if you know those soccer moms who start shuttling their kids to practices and games at two and three years old...you see how many parents believe the ONLY way to excel at something or to score a scholarship is to spend your entire childhood pursuing it. Why can't a child wait a little longer to figure out what they're passionate about and THEN pursue it? Are they over the hill at ten or eleven? Has their ship sailed?
