I'm an almost 28 year old mom of two kids, a 3 year old daughter and a 16 month old son. I started gaining weight after college and having two 10 lb babies didn't help. After my second pregnancy, I worked to lose some weight and lost 35 lbs. Before I lost the weight, I was wearing jeans and my husband's old t-shirts everyday so I could hide the parts of my body I didn't like. Now that I have lost some of the weight, I want to look good again and not wearing my old "mom" uniform or I guess it should be "dad" uniform since they aren't even my clothes. My husband's shirts are way too big, but all my old clothes don't really fit so well on my post pregnancy body. I had to have an umbilical hernia repaired after my first pregnancy and so my stomach is no longer the shape that it used to be. I recently found out that my job as a medical transcriptionist is being eliminated and I'm going to use the lay off time to go back to school to become a nurse. I'm excited about this change and being able to spend days with my kids and nights in school, but I can't justify spending a lot of money on clothes right now. I'd really like to go back to school and be able to show all the confidence I feel and not look like I'm hiding behind clothes that are too big.
