Kelly Tecklenburg

I was a fat mom. After approx 18 months of simply eating less & moving more, I am no longer a fat mom. I am a happy, healthy wife/mother/daughter/sister/friend/employee/girl scout leader/etc who weighs 90lbs less than she did in February 2008.

I have 2 firecrackers as children – Olivia (5) and Samuel (2) – who have been amazing motivators & supporters of their momma losing weight. They like exercising & wearing track pants & racing me whether it’s running in the park or riding our bikes. They never stop moving & I can finally keep up. Two years ago I couldn’t.

I am smaller now than I was before I even met my husband, Jason, in 1995! And luckily, he's loved me with all his heart at every size. Even my life professionally has changed since last year. My self confidence is up, I've been promoted with just recently given the opportunity to work job-share and be home with my kids more. It's amazing when you look better on the outside, feel better about yourself, the beauty on the inside shines brighter as well.  I've found that I'm a stronger person that I ever imagined both physically & mentally.

But, what I am totally lacking is clothes! I was once a size 20, hiding out in comfy maternity clothes long after the baby arrived. Today, I need some outfits that fit & are stylish so I can be a hot momma! Finally!

WOW, your photos alone are inspirational! I really don't think that you were horrible looking at all as a larger woman but I can understand the self esteem issue.
You are a very beautiful woman and you should be very proud of your self!!!! Congrats!!!
