What's more delicious than zucchini bread? How about CHOCOLATE zucchini bread! This recipe was submitted by subscriber @daynniksla and is in fact one of his mother's recipes from his website www.freshrecipes.ca. This is a comforting recipe that's perfect for a decadent breakfast or a yummy dessert. Your kids will love it and probably won't even realize they're eating zucchini!

Makes 1
Cream together in a big bowl:
1 cup (180 g) of brown sugar
½ cup (100 g) of white sugar
½ cup (120 g) butter
½ cup (120 mL) of oil
Add & stir well to mix:
3 eggs
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla
½ cup (120 mL) of buttermilk
Measure into sifter and then sift into bowl:
2½ cup (300 g) flour
½ tsp (2.5 mL) allspice
½ tsp (2.5 mL) cinnamon
2 tsp (10 mL) salt
2 tsp (10 mL) baking soda
4 tsp (20 mL) cocoa
2 cups (480 g) grated zucchini
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Sift together the flour, cocoa, salt, baking soda, cinnamon and baking powder in a mixing bowl. In a large bowl, beat the sugar, oil and eggs until fully mixed. Gradually beat flour mixture into sugar mixture until completely combined. Stir in zucchini.
Pour mixture into a greased 9"x5" (23 x 13 cm) loaf pan and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the center of the bread. Cool for about 10 minutes, slice and serve.
