Serves 4 to 6
2 cups (30 g) Corn Chex cereal
2 cups (30 g) Rice Chex cereal
2 cups (30 g) Wheat Chex cereal
1 cup (30 g) pretzel twists
⅔ cup (100 g) cashews
½ cup (75 g) dry roasted peanuts
¼ cup (60 g) butter or margarine, melted
¼ cup (60 mL) Worchestershire sauce
1½ tablespoons (22.5mL) garlic powder
1 tablespoon (15 mL) onion powder
1¼ teaspoon (6.25 mL) salt
½ teaspoon (2.5 mL) black pepper
Preheat oven 275°F (135°C).
Place cereal, pretzels, cashews, and peanuts in a large mixing bowl and gently toss together.
Stir together the butter/margarine, Worchester sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Pour the butter mixture over the cereal mixture and fold together until fully incorporated.
Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet in an even layer. Bake for about 1 hour 15 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
Allow Chex mix to cool, about 30 minutes before storing in an airtight container.
