Celebrate 4th of July and sport a little patriotic pride by creating a Fireworks T-shirt! This kid-friendly craft from our DIY Producer Robert Mahar demonstrates a mess free version of traditional tie dye, using two
magic materials - permanent markets and rubbing alcohol. The result is a t-shirt bursting with festive fireworks.

Materials and tools:
white t-shirt
permanent markers
70% isopropyl rubbing alcohol
small squeeze bottle or eyedropper
small glass bowl
rubber bands
Instructions:
1. Place a glass bowl inside a plain white t-shirt and then rubber band the fabric around the bowl lip to hold it taut and smooth.
2. Create small designs on the t-shirt with permanent markers.
3. Drop drops of rubbing alcohol onto the center of each design using a small squeeze bottle or an eyedropper. This causes the ink to spread, creating a fireworks design. Allow a few minutes to dry
and then repeat process elsewhere on the t-shirt."
