Some times a lazy night dinner made from frozen foods and pantry staples can be a delicious treat. Just like this super simple and super delicious tortellini dish by Beth Le Manach. It's easy to whip up and is a family pleaser! Yum!

Cheese Tortellinis with Pesto, Peas and Basil
1 Package of cheese tortellinis
½ cup (85 g) frozen peas
¼ cup (60 mL) of store bought pesto sauce
1 tbsp (15 mL) half & half
salt & pepper to taste
1 tbsp (15 mL) fresh basil
freshly grated Parmesan cheese to taste
Cook tortellinis according to packageHeat pesto in a pan on low heat. Add half & half, stir, throw in frozen peas. Keep an eye on it, adding pasta water if it gets too thick.
Add fresh chopped basil salt and pepper. Drain pasta and add to sauce. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese
